Guests

When I first began telling my family that we were going to buy this place, they said, that it is a lovely dream but it is in the middle of nowhere. They said, it would be lonely. I told them I was fine with that after all my years of living as an international gypsy. What I have found though, is, they couldn’t have been more wrong. I am rarely lonely here. We have so very many guests. From day time visitors that are dear old friends just glad to have us back in the state, to family who stay a night here and there, to family from Finland who were just here for a month! In addition to all that, we have the dog trainer who comes to work with the dog weekly, fabulous neighbors on all sides, and every week for Cafe Primrose, I have a part time assistant out here. Then there are all the Bed and Breakfast guests….

Welcome To The Wildflower B&B

Wildflower Farm B&B

Wildflower B&B

The Wildflower Farm B&B is a reconstruction of a house in olde Sturbridge Village commonly known as The Parsonage that dates back to the 1740s. Salt box in style it boasts a max of 2 available rooms, the second only available as an addition to the first. Click here to book.

This is where we finally chose to end our nomadic gypsy travels after years of wandering the planet. Now, we open our home up to other nomad travelers, city folk looking for a little country charm, romantics seeking a get away, historians that want to feel the nostalgia of ages gone by, and of course those who just want a few days to hide away outside their normal life. I carried this dream with me for nearly a decade all over the world, and now I get to live in it and share it. This place has a special magic all it’s own and each day I am here, I sleep better and feel more alive and peaceful. Welcome to Wildflower B&B. I look forward to chronicling my adventures as a guest house and inn keeper.

We name our rooms after wildflowers, the larger of our two available rooms is called The Foxglove Room and boasts a queen bed, a dresser, a closet, and a chair all done in a rustic primitive colonial style to match the style of the rest of the house. A big thick comfy blanket, a comfortable mattress on a box spring complete the room. We make sure all our guest’s needs are met, in the private bathroom you will find hand soap and hand cream, a roll of paper towels, a soap dish, and a blow drier. We call our adorable, rustic little cutesy room that is great for child travelers or for traveling couples with an extra person in tow, The Periwinkle Room. The Periwinkle Room is lovely done with a shabby chic old fashioned looking bed spread,  and a wood bed frame and mattress. It contains, a small area that is not high enough for adults but kids love to play in the little space. The Periwinkle Room is furnished with a dresser and a desk. We keep many rainy day activities for our child guests in here from paper, crayons, and colored pencils, to board games, card games, and books for all ages.

We are very family friendly here unlike most B&Bs we genuinely enjoy sharing our home with families. With the chickens and goats outside and the eggs to collect we are a lovely small farm dream. Full of fun and a special romantic charm and farm adventures.
