In Vienna, dog loving is a cherished tradition. You take your dog everywhere and everyone coos at it and otherwise coddles and spoils it. This is how I came by this beautiful key. I got a very special deal at a shop here in Vienna.
To make a long story short, I was getting a special deal already, a bunch of old keys for a bulk price. I took my dog to help me pick them up. This is a shop we frequent together often. If Avery is not with me I am forced to pay full price while they demand to see him next time I come to their store. Well, after agreeing to the bulk price for the large number of keys I was buying, the man selling them said, “these 40 euros, will not get the dog any treats.” Which is unusual. They don’t enjoy speaking English. So I answered him, “No…. Unfortunately not. They will go to you for these lovely old keys.” He thinks for a moment, says to me, as he is ringing everything up, and petting Avery, “I give them to you for 30 euros, and you spend 10 euros on dog treats.” So, now, because of his generosity, I get to offer this gorgeous old key necklace at a very nice price. I suppose you have Avery, to thank for this sweet deal.
Old key size and shape may vary some, though the aged, rustic, romantic look remains the same. Each key comes on a black ribbon as I am out of silver chain and can be in the length of your choice. The keys are large as they were once in use on an old family farm in the Alps. So expect them to be larger than 3 inches and smaller than 7 inches.
This beautiful necklace, comes in a box, packaged in beautiful dried lavender flowers, so that it smells as good as it looks. Very romantic.
A great gift for anyone who dreams their own little dream of green fields and gardens and a small homestead.
