Happy new year!!! I have quite a few plans for this upcoming year, both for Cafe Primrose and Wildflower Farm, but also some personal goals such as eating a little healthier… We are going to try to have the farm registered with the town and get ourselves some farm plates. The sign for the farm is now in the works and hopefully will be done and put up at the end of the long dirt and gravel private road to us soon. We are hoping to maybe host classes here periodically on country living and to perhaps start a craft circle that meets by our over sized fireplace once a week to tell stories and do crafting…. We are also working on some new branding for the gift shop Cafe Primrose, and some new methods to get things into the mail faster. I am also working on developing a bi weekly blog schedule going forward and we are looking into some new things there as well…. So it’s busy busy here.
Add to that, that the holidays are over now. We find ourselves taking apart all the decorations and laying them out on the counter to be properly organized and put away. And as I look at each item to go into the box, I have to smile. Most things in my home were actually gifts from friends and family, people who love us very much. And when we returned with very little from all our years living abroad, they went down to their basements, went through their houses, and found things that helped us start over. So when I look at many of these decorations, I am reminded of how loved we are. And that, is the light that truly lights up our darkest part of the winter being surrounded by the evidence of just how loved and cared about we are. How lucky we are to have so many wonderful people in our lives.
We hope all these wonderful people had a good Glogi fest our annual tradition on the 26th of December for some nice low key cheer, and hot drinks. We had a wonderful time as usual hosting and we were very pleased to be able to give back to all the people who have given us so much.
Packing it all up, is a big job so I have to go get back to it now, we wish all our readers a happy New Year, and we hope you have been surrounded by all the bright light we have been lucky enough to be surrounded by for the holidays. We hope your New Year will be joyful and successful.
