Wildflower Farm, is becoming a bit of a meeting place. We are working on building a community around it. And one of my favorite things that we do, is we offer a weekly craft circle. So far it is mainly local women. Our conversations range through a vast number of conversation subjects from Donald Trump to grand kids, to local history, and the list goes on and on.
Each person brings whatever craft they are working on and we all hang out around the dining room table and work. It’s been a fabulous way to make friends and I can tell there is a huge amount that I can learn from the women who are part of the circle. Both about crafting and about life. It’s nice also to have local friends and to get to know the surrounding community a bit as we are fairly knew to this area.
What few people realize, is that this little circle has been a dream of mine since Austria. I have been planning so much of what will happen here at Wildflower Farm, for many years longer than I have lived here. Everything pertaining to this little farm has been a dream that has supported me when times were toughest. And now that I am here, with the help of my husband or the members of my craft circle or anyone else who shows up to participate in some way at the farm, I am living my dream.
If you would like to join us at the Wildflower Farm Craft Circle, please RSVP at our crafting site. We meet every Monday at about 7:30 pm.
I really enjoy our craft evenings and I owe the members of the craft circle my thanks for participating.
