The Strawberry Patch Killer

The Strawberry Patch Killer

Yoda the dog, is very pleased with himself right now…. You see, last year, I put in this cute little strawberry patch. I was very proud, and I enjoyed picking my strawberries in June last year…. Now, I am afraid the strawberry patch has been murdered. Yoda, the dog, thought it would be nicer as a massive complex of holes. And so he went to work turning my yummy little garden into the beginnings of what could become a direct trade route to China, if he keeps up with it long enough and manages to dig all the way through to the other side of the world.

A small sampling of a few of his holes.

A small sampling of a few of his holes.

For some odd reason he finds this spot quite fascinating. And when ever he goes outside this is what he wants to do. It makes me wonder if maybe something is down there? Yoda, rarely does something for no reason. I have known him long enough to see that there is a certain doggie logic at work in his sick twisted strawberry patch killing mind.

He loves to dig.

He loves to dig.

Most people would look at the mess he is making and be very mad at him for his destructive behavior…. I however am not the least bit bothered. Because the joke is on him. The landscapers are coming early in the spring to help me turn this place into the proper farm I have always dreamed of living on. And that farm, does not include a massive complex of holes in the strawberry patch….

We have a five foot fence around the entire garden to keep out deer, dogs, ect… scarecrow to keep crows from attacking corn. ( we actually use a reflective ball that looks like giant eye kinda, and shines when sun hits it). We live in the country so we have to protect the garden. Happy gardening!
